BART A wonderful fellow like me was just made for a special family to call my own - but I'm missing one thing - my people!! I love people and I was born to be some lucky family's companion. My name is BART and I am a very gentle, sensitive, loving boy. I'm about 3 years old, neutered and vaccinated. I am totally house trained, and even crate trained for short periods of time, although I don't like it. I LOVE to go for car rides. I would be best suited for a home with an active, fun family, I am good with older children but have too much energy for young ones. I am good with some other dogs my size and love to play but NO LITTLE DOGS OR CATS FOR ME. I was at the shelter for several months so I have some loving time to make up for. I LOVE to cuddle with you and I like to sleep on the bed too! A fenced yard, a completed application and a home visit are required. Email us at jacksonslegacy170@gmail.com for an application.
rob
ROB (BOB) ROB is a neutered, adult male, approximately 100 lbs. He is the biggest GENTLE GIANT you will ever meet. He loves children and is very sweet with them. He's good with most other dogs, especially females. He has not been cat tested but I can not imagine with his temperament that it would be an issue as long as they were used to dogs. He walks well on a leash and for the most part is a low to medium energy dog. Every one is a while he gets a rush of energy and has the zoomies but that will do him for the next month..lol. He was heartworm positive when we pulled him from the overcrowded shelters euthanasia list but he has been treated and is now heartworm NEGATIVE. He MUST remain on heartworm preventative for the rest of his life. He is currently on Advantage Multi so that also takes care of fleas and internal parasites. He is a food picker.. his breakfast will last him most of the day with a bite here and there. He loves his chew bones and he has a favorite football that he loves. He is well mannered, and can be left out of the kennel or crate on his own as he is not the least bit destructive. He is unsure about cars, rides well once he is in but can have days he doesn't want to ride. He is a great all round dog who would do well in a family setting. Not an apartment dog because of his size, a fenced yard is a plus. He does not dig or try to jump over a short 4' fence. And it is our rescue policy to prohibit using dog parks for any of our dogs. An approved application and a home visit are required. Email us at jacksonslegacy170@gmail.com if you think ROB might be "the one" to make your family complete.
DOTTIE
DOTTIE Are you looking for a furry friend who's the perfect blend of playfulness and charm? This is DOTTIE... Unfortunately she was returned to our rescue on 1/20/25. Nothing to do with her, her family said she is fantastic but her Dad is moving to assisted living and she can not go along. The family who were supposed to take her have had some unexpected life changes and it is no longer a possibility. She's a spayed, adult female mixed breed, medium size. Very quiet, sweet and easy going. Totally house trained and crate trained. Good with children. No idea about cats (but I would probably say no as she's territorial) and prefers to be the only dog. The family says she's a great watch dog, and alerted them when a strange man came around saying he was from the utility company but really wasn't... she let him know he was not welcome in no uncertain terms and he needed to leave! She was an owner surrender at Greenville County Animal Care in SC where they are having to euthanize for space. She was hw positive but she has already had her treatment and is now heartworm NEGATIVE. She is one of the best dogs we've had so far and they are all pretty darn good. If you are interested in meeting DOTTIE email us for an application at jacksonslegacy170@gmail.com An approved application and a home visit are required Her adoption fee is $350.
